Position Overview

F & S LOGISTICS LIMITED is seeking a dedicated and skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our operations. This role is essential for the efficient transportation of goods across long distances.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Will train
Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize computer systems and GPS technology to plan or modify routes, ensuring minimal fuel consumption and reduced carbon footprint.
  • Demonstrate expertise in mountain driving.
  • Collaborate as part of a two-person driving team or in a convoy.
  • Operate specialized lighter trucks for unique transport needs.
  • Handle loading and unloading of cargo efficiently.
  • Acquire necessary permits and documentation for international cargo transport.
  • Drive and manage straight or articulated trucks for the movement of goods and materials.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
  • Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs as needed.
  • Execute thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all vehicle aspects.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance on the vehicle.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch, relaying pertinent information.
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage.
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping techniques.
