Our unit manages a substantial volume of correspondence annually, fostering strong relationships throughout the ministry as we formulate considerate and well-crafted responses.
Recently honored with a prestigious Top Work Unit Award, our team is committed to cultivating an inclusive and cooperative atmosphere where every member's input is valued and contributes significantly to delivering essential information to the public and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and refining correspondence
- Providing technical support
- Facilitating the dissemination of vital information to the public
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A post-secondary degree in English, Business English, journalism, communications, or professional writing
- A minimum of four years of professional writing, copyediting, and proofreading experience, or relevant experience in a communications-related field
- Experience in maintaining effective working relationships with senior officials and their teams
- Over one year of experience utilizing the CLIFF Tracking System (reporting experience is an asset)
- Over one year of experience in retrieving records for Freedom of Information requests or Litigation Document Discovery requests
This position allows for remote work arrangements, enabling you to operate from home in British Columbia, subject to an approved telework agreement.
