Job Title: Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at Five Rivers Veterinary Corporation.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assisting veterinarians with medical procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and process laboratory samples for diagnostic testing
  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgery and anesthesia
  • Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals
  • Administer medications and vaccines as prescribed by veterinarians
  • Counsel clients on animal health care and provide education on animal behavior and nutrition
  • Perform routine animal dental procedures and assist veterinarians with animal dentistry
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment
Requirements:
  • Registration by a provincial or territorial, or regional association as Registered Animal Health Technologist, Registered Veterinary Technician
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
