About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team at Bang On Carpentry & Labour Hire Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare building layouts in accordance with building codes, utilizing measuring tools and equipment.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to construct and install building components.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure structural integrity and safety.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to complete building projects.
Work Environment

As a carpenter with Bang On Carpentry & Labour Hire Ltd., you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying work sites, including commercial, residential, and renovation projects.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, and other necessary safety equipment.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and meet tight deadlines.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads. The work schedule will be 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime as required.
