Job Summary:

As a Senior Director of Operations, you will be responsible for leading the vision and direction of a division within the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). This role requires a strong leader who can promote the organization's vision and values, ensuring that management and employees are aligned and working towards common goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a shared vision for the division, adhering to modern controllership principles.
  • Lead the management and delivery of programs and services, ensuring required programs and policies are established and maintained.
  • Provide leadership and direction in the management of human resources, ensuring effective organization and resourcing.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other WSIB leaders and employees to assess and discuss business and organizational issues.
  • Act as a senior expert providing functional leadership and technical expertise to Vice Presidents and Directors.
  • Participate in the review, planning, development, and implementation of Board-wide initiatives and strategies.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with external contractors and business partners.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate university degree and significant experience in developing and delivering programs.
  • 10+ years of progressively more responsible leadership and management positions in a large complex organization dealing with insurance and/or disability management and/or public sector management and services.
