Irving Shipbuilding is recognized as Canada's National Shipbuilder, with a commitment to constructing modern naval vessels for the Royal Canadian Navy. Our Facilities team plays a crucial role in supporting various service activities and capital projects that are essential for our operations.

As a Project Coordinator, Facilities, you will be integral to the Facilities Engineering team, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of maintenance and project initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Management: Oversee contract tasks including project requisitioning, invoice processing, and financial reporting for capital programs.
  • Financial Oversight: Engage in capital planning and risk assessments, participate in financial reporting, and manage assigned budget items.
  • Operational Support: Utilize a Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) methodology to manage ongoing service activities, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Maintain project delivery documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness throughout all project phases.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and refine process maps and work instructions to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary diploma in a relevant field, such as Construction Engineering.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a construction or design environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in project planning and document management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with project budgeting and scheduling practices.

All successful candidates must meet the requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and Canadian Government Security clearance.
