Automotive Refinishing Technician Job Description

GORILLA TRANSPORT is seeking a skilled Automotive Refinishing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate repair costs based on damage examination reports
  • Plan and execute repair work to ensure high-quality results
  • Test drive vehicles to ensure proper handling and performance
  • Replace front end components, body panels, and underbody components
  • File, grind, and sand body surfaces to achieve a smooth finish
  • Mask and tape auto body surfaces for painting
  • Hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills, and install replacement parts
  • Apply primers and repaint surfaces to achieve a showroom finish
  • Repair or replace interior components, including windows, windshields, and sunroofs
  • Mix and match paint colors to achieve a perfect match
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and efficiency
  • Physically demanding, requiring prolonged standing, bending, and lifting
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in automotive refinishing
  • Permanent employment with a competitive salary and benefits package
  • 37.5 hours per week, with overtime required as needed
  • English language proficiency
