Laundry Aide Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team at a long-term care and rehabilitation facility in Calgary. As a Laundry Aide, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect and sort soiled linens and personal laundry from user areas.
  • Operate automatic washers and dryers, and fold and iron linens and personal clothing.
  • Apply identification labels to personal clothing and linens.
  • Assist with loading and unloading laundry carts.
  • Perform minor mending and repair tasks as needed.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a laundry or related role is an asset.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects.
  • Knowledge of laundry equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent care.
