Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Teacher: ELA/Literacy to join our team in the Northern Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English as a Second Language and Literacy to elementary students, with a focus on differentiated instruction and inclusive practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and needs
  • Utilize current assessment methods to inform instruction and track student progress
  • Build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents to create a supportive learning environment
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in Balanced Literacy and Fountas & Pinnell Benchmark Assessment System
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
Requirements
  • Valid teaching certification from a recognized jurisdiction
  • Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Strong knowledge of English language arts and literacy instruction
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
