Freight Operations Manager

At YK Freightways Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Freight Forwarding Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our freight forwarding department, ensuring that all shipments are processed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate Daily Operations: Monitor and analyze daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize efficiency.
- Monitor Department's Performance: Track key performance indicators to ensure that the department is meeting its goals and objectives.
- Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement plans to ensure that daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Plan for Changes to Schedules and Policies: Develop and implement plans to ensure that changes to schedules and policies are implemented smoothly and efficiently.
- Prepare Reports for Senior Management: Prepare regular reports for senior management to ensure that they are informed of the department's performance.
- Recruit Staff: Recruit and hire staff to ensure that the department has the necessary resources to meet its goals and objectives.
- Supervise Staff: Supervise and manage staff to ensure that they are performing their duties effectively.
- Train Staff: Train and develop staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Manage Finances or Budget: Manage the department's finances and budget to ensure that it is operating within its means.
- Ensure Transport Compliance with Regulations: Ensure that all transportation activities are compliant with relevant regulations.
- Establish and Implement Policies and Standards: Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods.
- Oversee Scheduling and Dispatching: Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods to ensure that they are delivered on time and in good condition.
- Organize and Maintain Inventory: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that it is accurate and up-to-date.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
