Position OverviewThe role of a Motel Manager involves overseeing the daily operations of a lodging establishment, ensuring a high standard of service and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year and less than 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role within the hospitality sector.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff members.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance employee skills.
- Negotiate with clients regarding the use of facilities.
- Perform front desk operations, ensuring efficient check-in and check-out processes.
- Prepare and manage budgets, monitoring both revenues and expenses.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote the establishment.
- Oversee maintenance activities to ensure the property is well-kept.
- Enforce company policies and procedures.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively.
- Assist guests with special needs to ensure a comfortable stay.
- Manage events hosted at the facility.
