At the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka, we're seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Professional to join our team. As a key member of our early childhood education team, you'll play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment that fosters healthy development and growth in children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional care and supervision to children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Develop and implement engaging play-based learning activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Build strong relationships with families, staff, and volunteers, ensuring open communication and a collaborative approach to child care.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, supporting the needs of all children, including those with exceptional behaviors and additional needs.
  • Adhere to YMCA policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for children and staff.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Up-to-date immunizations or equivalent
  • Availability requirements: minimum of either 2 full days per week (full availability 7am-6pm both days) OR 3 afternoons 2:30-6pm
  • Early Childhood Education Diploma
  • Registered Early Childhood Educator (CECE) or willing to obtain registration
