Our facilities are equipped for precision CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and coating, and we proudly hold AS9100 certification. This Quality Inspector role will report directly to the Director of Quality.

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for testing and inspecting assemblies and products at various stages of the production process, compiling and evaluating statistical data to ensure the quality and reliability of fabricated and machined metal and plastic products through the following responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conducting inspections of precision components and assemblies according to customer specifications by visually examining, monitoring processes & products, and verifying dimensional accuracy and completion.
  • Utilizing standard measuring tools such as calipers, height gauges, and micrometers.
  • Performing inspections, measurements, and analyses of setups, first-offs, in-process, incoming, and final audits as necessary.
  • Generating quality documentation and reports, including FAI (First Article Inspection) Reports, Nonconformance reports, and customer-required quality documentation.
  • Collecting data to drive improvements, monitoring processes or products, auditing systems, and applying statistical quality control methods. Reporting defects to relevant departments, discussing results, recommending corrective actions, and ensuring implementation.
  • Evaluating data and preparing reports to validate or indicate deviations from established standards.
  • Suggesting modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimal quality within equipment capabilities.
  • Carrying out additional assigned duties within the Quality Department as required.
  • Utilizing company ERP software to document quality inspection records and job statuses.
  • Enforcing company standards for safety, security regulations, environmental compliance, and maintaining good housekeeping practices.
  • Experience with CMM or FaroArm is advantageous for programming/operating for the dimensional accuracy of manufactured parts according to drawings and CAD data, but not essential.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Postsecondary education (University or College Degree) in Mechanical, Industrial, Quality Engineering, or related fields (preferred).
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Quality Inspector in an ISO9001 (or AS9100) certified machining environment.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with software such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP systems (training will be provided for our specific system).
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and specifications fluently.
  • Good understanding of GD&T principles.
  • Familiarity with SPC principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
