Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Coordinate Team Members
- Direct and supervise a team of technicians and mechanics to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks
- Coordinate and schedule activities to meet deadlines and maintain a smooth workflow
- Oversee Apprenticeship Training
- Develop and implement training programs for apprentices to ensure they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of apprentices to ensure they meet the required standards
- Ensure Health and Safety Regulations
- Implement and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards
- Set Up and Maintain Equipment
- Install and maintain machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operations
- Education and Experience
- Post-secondary education in a related field, such as mechanical engineering or a related trade
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a bicycle repair shop or similar environment
- Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols
- Special Requirements
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work a 35-hour week, with flexibility to work overtime as required
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
