Position Overview

The role of a Kitchen Helper at Bent Taco involves essential support in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. This position is vital for ensuring that food service operations run smoothly and that all dining areas are well-prepared for guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dishware Management: Transport clean dishes, utensils, and other items to serving areas and set tables appropriately.
  • Sanitation Duties: Clean and sanitize kitchen items including dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
  • Dining Area Maintenance: Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to ensure a tidy dining experience.
  • Dishwashing Operations: Operate dishwashers to effectively wash dishes, glassware, and utensils.
  • Storage Management: Place dishes in designated storage areas and replenish condiments and supplies at tables.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing, heating, and finishing simple food items, while also portioning and wrapping foods.
  • Inventory Management: Keep records of food quantities used and assist in stocking refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Cleaning Responsibilities: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean kitchen environment.
Qualifications

Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma is required.

Experience: Training will be provided; prior experience is not necessary.

Work Conditions

This is a permanent position with working hours ranging from 30 to 40 hours per week. The primary language of work is English.
