Software Development Engineer in Test

Help Build the Next Generation of Cloud-Scalable AI-Based Security Products

About the Role

As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and security of our code, tools, and deployments. You'll work closely with our development team to plan, estimate, and refine stories, epics, and design changes as part of an Agile Scrum team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build out test plans to cover new areas of functionality, ensuring all necessary testing is performed
  • Refine acceptance criteria into testable units and convert those into automated tests that execute efficiently and reliably
  • Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines and ensure successful automation as part of our standard build process
  • Occasional manual testing when automation is not an option
  • Report, reproduce, and help development resolve defects, emphasizing troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and prevention of similar issues in the future
Requirements

We're looking for a candidate with domain experience in Quality Engineering, especially automated testing. You should have experience test planning and breaking down stories/requirements into testable units. Full-stack experience in automated testing, validating both front-end and back-end interfaces, including RESTful API endpoints and web-based user interfaces, is also required. Solid object-oriented programming skills and experience automating in Java, JavaScript, or similar are necessary. Familiarity with databases and an ability to incorporate database-side validation into automated tests is a plus. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially using Jenkins, is also required. Some working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, and Windows Server is a plus. Some experience/familiarity with performance/scalability testing is also desired.
