Job Summary:

Lifemark is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Surrey, BC. As a concussion-trained therapist, you will play a vital role in helping clients recover from traumatic brain injuries and return to their daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients' physical, mental health, and cognitive functioning in a clinic or community setting.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning.
  • Provide education on safe body mechanics, cognitive behavioral strategies, and functional tolerance activities.
  • Support return-to-work programs, including job coaching and accommodation recommendations.
  • Utilize e-charting software to document treatment sessions and submit reports to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Participate in case conferences and case management.
  • Collaborate with the inter-professional team at your clinic.
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy students (as preferred).
  • Network with stakeholders to promote Lifemark OT programs.
  • Manage a caseload in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Registration (member in good standing) with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in treating concussion/traumatic brain injury is preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to post-graduate professional development.
  • Previous experience supporting auto insurance, long-term disability, and WSIB referrals is a strong asset.
  • Certification in Concussion or Vestibular Therapy is considered an asset.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
