Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Dress Patternmaker to join our team at Quantum Design. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pattern making and will be responsible for creating high-quality patterns for various garments.

Qualifications
  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in pattern making or equivalent experience
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and cut master patterns for products.
  • Create size variations from master patterns utilizing drafting instruments or computer software.
  • Prepare fabric layouts and cut sample patterns accordingly.
  • Estimate fabric material requirements for production.
  • Review sketches and specifications to determine the necessary pattern parts and assess fabric needs.
  • Label sample patterns with size, identification, style, and sewing instructions.
  • Detail patterns on paper, indicating features such as pocket placements, pleats, and decorative elements.
