Job Title: Community Care Aide

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Care Aide to join our team at Pari Schulen. As a Community Care Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their recovery journey, providing prevention support services, and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend to the admission, care, and discharge of clients throughout their recovery journey
  • Assist clients through the stages of change and provide support services for effective care transition and discharge planning
  • Provide support services for the functioning of the facility through group work and working across programs
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination
Requirements:
  • Diploma in addictions or social services (or equivalent experience)
  • WHMIS training
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (CPI)
  • Completion of support and assist course for medication
  • Basic counselling and screening skills
  • Crisis intervention skills and conflict resolution experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet client and operational needs
  • Ability to organize and manage routine and administrative tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the Ojibway language and culture
  • Previous experience working with vulnerable populations in the Mental Health and Addictions Field
  • Previous experience working in an abstinence and harm reduction environment
