About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Control Engineer to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for assessing and revamping the manufacturing process of automotive parts.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process Improvement: Assess and revamp the manufacturing process to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  2. Manufacturing Bills of Materials: Ensure the accuracy of manufacturing bills of materials for all products, including parent component relationships, part numbers, and quantity per.
  3. Work Centre Master Files: Ensure the accuracy of work centre master files, routers, and standard run and set up times, sub-contracted operations, and reporting points for back flushing for all products.
  4. ECN Coordination: Coordinate the proper timing of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to minimize obsolete stock and ensure production at the required engineering level.
  5. Part Numbering System: Ensure accuracy of the part numbering system.
  6. Plant and Equipment Layout: Develop and coordinate plant and equipment layout improvements, process improvements, die changes, and first off improvements.
  7. Standard Costs: Assist in developing and maintaining standard costs for all products.
  8. New Product Introduction: Coordinate and follow up on the smooth introduction of new products to the company and assist in selecting appropriate suppliers for subcontracted operations.
  9. Manufacturing Concerns: Research, investigate, and report manufacturing concerns for improvement of overall plant productivity, including process cost reductions and implementation of corrective actions to minimize process downtimes and rejects.
Requirements
  1. Previous Experience: Previous experience with controls required.
  2. Education: Completion of a college diploma or university degree in an engineering discipline, mechanical engineering preferred.
  3. Experience: Minimum of five years experience in a related field or discipline.
  4. Knowledge: Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems.
  5. Technical Report Writing: Good technical report writing abilities.
