Job Overview:

As a Café Service Associate, you will be instrumental in crafting an exceptional experience for our customers by providing exemplary service, preparing high-quality beverages, and ensuring a clean and inviting environment. While knowledge of food safety is beneficial, we are eager to provide training to equip you with the necessary skills. As a representative of our café, you will contribute to a positive atmosphere for our patrons, creating delightful beverages one cup at a time.

  • Part-time hours ranging from 12 to 24 hours per week.
  • Shifts typically include evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer orders and complete sales transactions accurately.
  • Manage inventory, assist in food preparation, and provide product information to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure precision in all beverage and food preparations.
  • Operate the cash register and handle various payment methods.
  • Educate customers on different coffee beans and preparation methods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in customer areas.
  • Continuously learn and uphold knowledge of our café's products and procedures.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards for all products.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Food Service Manager.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Prior experience in a café setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Previous customer service experience is essential.
  • Good upselling abilities.
  • Professional appearance, including a name tag and appropriate grooming.
  • Proficient in computer and point-of-sale systems.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing at least 25 lbs.
  • A Criminal Record Check is required due to the sensitive nature of this position.
