Aerospace Manufacturing TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled Machinist Technician to join our team at ATLAS Aéronautique inc. as a key member of our manufacturing department.
Key Responsibilities:- Technical Expertise: Utilize advanced technical knowledge to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure accurate production.
- Maintenance and Repair: Effectively repair and maintain machine tools and parts, as well as set up and adjust production machinery and tools to optimize performance.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections to verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, and document and report any deviations from specifications and tolerances.
- Equipment Operation: Safely set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-quality products.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate inspection records and complete inspection reports to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Education and Certifications: Possess a Registered Apprenticeship certificate and Machinist Trade Certification.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing.
- Language: Fluency in English or French.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with attention to detail and ability to stand for extended periods.
- Measuring Tools: Proficiency in using micrometers, callipers, calibre, gauges, and verniers.
- Equipment and Machinery Experience: Familiarity with automatic lathes, boring machines, drill presses, gear cutting machines, milling machines, screw machines, surface grinders, tapping machines, and tool grinders.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, flexible, initiative, and team player.
- Permanent Full-Time Position: 40 hours per week.
