We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the 100 Mile District General Hospital in 100 Mile BC. As a key member of our Emergency team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will have recent experience in an acute care setting and be able to perform assessments and plan, implement, and provide personal and nursing care to patients. They will also administer medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures.
This is a casual opportunity, which means hours are not guaranteed and may vary. However, casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent and temporary positions.
About the Location:The 100 Mile District General Hospital is a 16-bed rural hospital located in downtown 100 Mile House. The hospital offers a range of services, including Emergency, ACU/Chemo, Cysto, and acute care services. We receive approximately 13,000 ER patients per year and consistently maintain a high occupancy rate.
Requirements:- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Current CPR certification required
- Two (2) years recent related experience in an acute care setting
