About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Refresco. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.
  • Conduct complex maintenance tasks, such as planning and executing maintenance projects, and implementing process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our production processes and equipment, including mechanical theories and principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, and to optimize maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our CMMS system, including reporting and work order systems and methods.
  • Improve communication and collaboration between teams, and develop and implement effective work order management processes.
  • Optimize and effectively accomplish all work and work orders, from breakdown to condition-based maintenance, and lead in the development of rules and controls over planning and scheduling efforts.
  • Contribute to measurable improvements in scheduled, unscheduled, and breakdown maintenance-related downtime, and the costs associated with these events, to contribute to CPC (cost per case) goals for each plant.
Requirements
  • Thorough technical knowledge in the field of industrial maintenance, including relevant regulations, standards, and codes.
  • Ability to read and understand complex diagrams, and capable of MOS leadership skills combined with a team player attitude.
  • Thorough understanding of engineering principles and maintenance practices, and ability to read and understand complex piping diagrams and mechanical drawings.
  • Objective judgment and fact-based decision-making approach, and strong multi-tasking competency.
  • Must be willing to work a rotating shift schedule, and must be a self-starter who is able to work in a team and independently.
  • Interprovincial Journeyman License, Millwright or (Dual Ticket – Electrician/Millwright an asset), and Power Engineer Certificate.
  • 5 years production/line machine maintenance experience, and line maintenance within a food and beverage production environment preferred.
