About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Butcher Helper to join our team at YORKSON BUTCHER SHOP INC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Safety and Handling: Ensure that all food products are handled and stored safely to prevent contamination and spoilage.
  • Meat Processing: Assist in the processing of meat products, including measuring and dumping ingredients into mixing and grinding machines.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our clients, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Quality Control: Check products and packaging for basic quality defects, ensuring that all products meet our high standards.
  • Teamwork: Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties, working collaboratively to achieve our goals.
  • Cleanliness: Clean machines and immediate work areas, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Setting: This position is based in a meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires standing for extended periods, repetitive tasks, and fast-paced work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract.
