We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor residents' responses to ensure safe and effective care.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Education and Support: Provide education and support to residents and their families on health-related topics, and promote independence and self-care.
- Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and mentor licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff, and provide guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Experience: Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing an asset.
- Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, CPR Certificate, and eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities.
