Role Overview:

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will deliver a broad spectrum of nursing services to individuals, families, and communities, prioritizing their safety and well-being. Your responsibilities will include employing nursing methodologies through critical analysis, problem resolution, and informed decision-making. You will also engage in educating, counseling, and advocating for patients and their families, playing a pivotal role in promoting an integrated and holistic approach to healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care that aligns with the core values of Alberta Health Services.
  • Lead initiatives that support health promotion and maintenance.
  • Utilize nursing processes effectively to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have completed an accredited nursing education program and hold an active or eligible registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Additionally, current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification is required. If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse in the past five years, completion of specified refresher courses is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

We value candidates who demonstrate the ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting and possess knowledge of relevant healthcare programs. A Baccalaureate Degree in nursing is preferred, along with a proven capacity to adapt to change effectively.
