The Opportunity

WSP Canada is expanding its ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) division, seeking a seasoned Director of Project Management to lead its Major Projects team. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing complex major projects, fostering business opportunities, and driving project governance and decision-making.

Reporting to the Vice President of Major Projects, you will ideally be based in one of our offices in Toronto, Sudbury, or Montreal. Our Major Projects division supports clients across Canada, and we value a culture of inclusion and belonging.

  • Lead project planning, resourcing, staffing, and supply chain management
  • Provide oversight and governance on major projects
  • Participate in business development objectives, including proposal reviews and contract negotiations
  • Define and manage project budgets and schedules
  • Proactively manage deadlines and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Assess project resources and initiate actions to meet commitments
  • Ensure project results meet technical quality, reliability, schedule, cost, and budgeted margins

Requirements include:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management or a related field
  • Formal training in project management, PMP certification preferred
  • Previous experience in an EPCM environment in the industrial projects an asset
  • Tech designation an asset
  • Bilingual in English and French an asset
  • A proven track record of completing projects on time and on budget with high client satisfaction
