Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Hair Stylist to join our team at Le Salon. This is a permanent position that offers a dynamic work environment where creativity and client satisfaction are paramount.

Work Details
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English or French
  • Hours: 40 to 50 hours per week
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required
  • Experience: Previous experience is an asset
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a variety of settings, including:

  • Barbershops
  • Hairstyling salons or studios
  • Spas
Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Scheduling appointments for clients
  • Cutting and trimming hair based on client preferences
  • Shampooing and conditioning clients' hair
  • Shaving and trimming facial hair
  • Providing various hair treatments, including waving, straightening, and tinting
  • Supervising junior stylists and salon staff
  • Applying hair color treatments
  • Styling hair using a variety of techniques
  • Advising clients on suitable hairstyles
  • Performing receptionist duties as needed
Hair Styling Techniques

Proficiency in the following techniques is expected:

  • Blow drying
  • Hair braiding
  • Iron waving and curling
  • Permanents
  • Extensions
  • Twisting and locking
  • Relaxing and spiking
  • Pin curls and roller setting
Hair Coloring Techniques

Experience with hair coloring methods such as:

  • Bleaching
  • Dyes and tints
  • Frosting and highlighting

This role requires:
