Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute rack-up, programming, verification, and inspection of fire alarm systems, access control, intercom systems, and various fire protection equipment.
  • Conduct inspections and servicing on both Mircom and non-Mircom products.
  • Timely completion and submission of inspection reports.
  • Offer technical support to clients as required.
  • Deliver operational training to end-users.
  • Ensure a positive experience for our customers and end-users when engaging with Mircom.
  • Interpret and comprehend engineered drawings, specifications, programs, schematics, installation manuals, and service manuals.

Requirements and Skills:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Service Technician in the Fire Alarm sector.
  • An electronics diploma or equivalent from an accredited college/university or proven trade qualification.
  • Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) Registration or a comparable qualification is required.
  • Proficiency in both English and French (verbal and written).
  • Familiarity with Mircom systems is advantageous.
  • Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel is beneficial.
  • Ability to lift equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs and to ascend ladders and scaffolding.
  • A valid and clean motor vehicle license (Class G) is essential.
