Job Summary:

The Railcar Repair Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including:

  • Repairing railcars using cutting and welding techniques
  • Performing air arc gouging and mechanical repairs
  • Operating telehandler forklifts
  • Following repair orders, procedures, and blueprints
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
  • Working outdoors in various conditions

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Mechanical background with safe use of tools
  • Ability to read work orders and safety documents
  • Prior railcar repair experience an asset
  • Quality control checks
  • Compliance with safety standards
  • Working in various conditions
  • WHMIS training
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management
  • Ability to work independently or in a team
  • Strong initiative and positive attitude
  • Completion of full medical testing
