About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Equipment Technician to join our team at Rocky Mountain Equipment LP. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instructing and Training
    • Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment.
  • Equipment Inspection and Repair
    • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
    • Diagnose and repair equipment using computerized and other testing equipment.
    • Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Maintenance and Documentation
    • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
    • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Transportation and Travel
    • Willingness to travel to various locations as required.
    • Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy equipment.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
    • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Weight Handling and Safety
    • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
    • Steel-toed safety boots and safety glasses/goggles required.
  • Personal Qualities and Skills
    • Accurate and reliable with excellent oral communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Experience and Education
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
