Job Summary:
Yaskawa Canada is seeking a skilled Robot Manufacturing Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for building, testing, and repairing electrical and mechanical sub-assembly components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the highest safety and housekeeping standards, including understanding of 5S practices.
- Possess a strong understanding of electrical circuits (24V, 120V, 208V, 480V, 575V).
- Build, test, and repair electrical and mechanical sub-assembly components as required.
- Provide manufacturing support for building assemblies and systems.
- Understand overall subassemblies design, function, and operation.
- Organize and plan tasks and workflow using effective communication skills.
- Support departmental planning to meet quality, delivery, and productivity standards.
- Liaise with other departments as required to meet goals.
- Utilize and help maintain ISO procedures for assembly processes specific to Yaskawa Canada.
- Recommend improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate standard components and special ordered parts for fitness of use.
- Responsible for proper usage of equipment, tools, and materials.
- Maintain inventory levels of materials used in production.
- Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Complete technical training programs and safety training.
- Assist with on-the-job training for new team members.
- Promote teamwork and foster an exemplary working environment.
- May be required to travel for repairs and installations.
- Work under minimal supervision to meet project requirements.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform duties satisfactorily. Requirements include a Certified Electrical Technician or Technologist with 3-5 years of experience in automated system wiring and electrical panel assembly.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to read and understand electrical/electronic schematics and diagrams. Proficient use of electrical and mechanical tools.
Physical Demands:
Employee must meet physical demands to successfully perform the job. Specific vision abilities required.
Work Environment:
Employee works near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Awareness of hazardous materials cautions required.
