Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Estimator - Construction Specialist to join our team at 2397342 Alberta Inc. as a permanent, full-time employee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for construction projects.
  • Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and develop estimates.
  • Prepare elemental format estimates (Classes B, C, D) and submit reports, quote sheets, and bid forms.
  • Utilize quantity take-off procedures to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Advise on tendering procedures and analyze tenders to recommend awards.
  • Set up and monitor cost monitoring and reporting systems to track contract expenditures.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. The role involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
  • College or CEGEP education in a relevant field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Client-focused and organized with a strong attention to detail.
