From water to wire – Be part of the movement
The Field Quality Assurance Engineer is assigned to one of our project sites in Canada. This role is essential in ensuring the superior quality of our equipment installations by adhering to installation manuals, standards, and stringent processes. You will collaborate with a team that includes a Site Manager, Supervisors, administrators, Quality Assurance specialists, and a Health-Safety-Environment officer. The size of the team and the duration of the project will vary based on the scope of work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and uphold the ANDRITZ Quality Assurance System on-site;
- Ensure adherence to quality requirements as outlined in Installation Manuals;
- Act as the local liaison with clients and authorities regarding all quality-related matters;
- Oversee inspections in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP);
- Manage material reception on-site using an inventory database and tracking system;
- Conduct and/or observe inspections in coordination with clients and the site team;
- Initiate and monitor non-conformities;
- Gather quality records and prepare final quality documentation;
- Collaborate with Installation Supervisors to ensure compliance with Installation Manuals;
- Contribute to overall quality and excellence in the execution of Engineered Machinery projects.

Competencies & Skills:
- Technical degree or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
- Five (5) years of experience in a similar role;
- Passion for quality and integrity;
- General knowledge of mechanical measurement devices;
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel);
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset;
- Practical knowledge of 3D measuring equipment is a plus;
- On-site safety training is advantageous;
- Effective communication skills (oral and written);
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and detail-oriented;
- Ability to analyze data;
- Willingness to travel and flexibility with work schedules.
