Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operator to join our team at DSV. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth transition of warehouse-related activities, from receiving and storing products to shipping and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, label, and locate items on racks, picking, checking, packing, and shipping
  • Cross-check merchandise for any damages and sign shipments upon receipt
  • Verify merchandise details and maintain accurate and detailed records of shipments received and shipped
  • Coordinate shipment status with distributors and vendors
  • Check and arrange for warehouse space, assist with loading and unloading of goods, and arrange for heavy machinery
  • Categorize merchandise in different boxes and containers, pack merchandise using appropriate labels, and process and schedule orders for delivery and pickup
  • Conduct regular inventory checks, ensure the warehouse is always kept clean and safe, and maintain and update inventory logs
  • Coordinate day-to-day warehouse activities with the Warehouse Manager and adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures and Policies
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehousing environment, with a minimum of 1 year handling large or oversized cargo
  • Minimum high school education required
  • Dangerous Goods Certification, an asset
  • Authorized Cargo Representative (ACR) designated status, an asset
  • Forklift license required

Language and Computer Skills
  • French and English are the principal languages for this position, additional languages may be required in other locations
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment
  • Basic Microsoft Office suite
Physical Demands
  • Regular working hours apply for this position, at times, working beyond these hours may be required by business needs
  • Safety shoes and safety vest to be used during work hours
  • Ability to lift, push, and carry 25-50 lbs
