Titmouse is seeking a skilled Background Layout Artist to join our team in Vancouver. As a key member of our animation team, you will work closely with the Background Supervisor to create high-quality backgrounds for a 2D adult comedy series.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop exterior, interior, and reverse-angle shots of background key designs.
- Collaborate with the Art Director, Director(s), and Background Supervisor to ensure accurate and visually appealing backgrounds.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the overall setting and lighting guide to ensure consistency throughout the project.
- Communicate effectively with the team to ensure timely completion of tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong understanding of form, lighting, design, and perspective as it pertains to environments.
- Proficiency in Photoshop and ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to take direction and address notes from supervisors.
- Eligibility to work in the Titmouse office in Vancouver.
Titmouse offers a competitive compensation package, commensurate with experience and skill level. This is a hybrid role, requiring occasional in-office work in Vancouver. If the work for this position is performed within the geographical jurisdiction of the collective bargaining agreement, it will be covered by that agreement.
