Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at the Vancouver School Board (School District 39).

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating students with communication disorders, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with teachers and other professionals to support student learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose communication disorders in students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support student learning
  • Provide consultation and support to parents and caregivers
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of district-wide initiatives to support student communication and literacy skills
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), and a valid BC teaching certificate. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with diverse communication needs, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to student-centered practice.
