Hematopathologist Position

Island Health is seeking a highly skilled Hematopathologist to join our team in Victoria. As a key member of our Department of Laboratory Medicine, Pathology and Medical Genetics, you will play a vital role in providing diagnostic laboratory oversight and participating in routine and special hematology services, transfusion medicine programs, teaching rounds, committee work, and administrative tasks.

As a Hematopathologist, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting laboratory results, providing expert advice to clinicians, and contributing to the development of new diagnostic techniques and procedures. You will also have the opportunity to participate in clinical research and academic programs, including faculty appointment and teaching responsibilities.

• Eligibility for Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Hematopathology
• Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
