Position Overview: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive nursing care to clients, ensuring their well-being and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designs, implements, and assesses nursing interventions, including medication administration and treatments within the LPN's professional scope.
  • Delivers client-focused care as part of a multidisciplinary team, addressing the personal care, engagement, recreational, and spiritual needs of clients.
  • Works collaboratively with Registered Nurses to create and update individualized care plans for patients.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current and valid registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Level C, including Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training is mandatory.
  • Experience in psychogeriatrics, including mental health assessment and intervention, particularly with responsive behaviors, is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications such as Meditech, Microsoft Word, and Excel is advantageous.
