Job Summary

The Health Care Aide is a vital member of our home care team at Qualicare Home Care, BC. Under the supervision of the Care Coordinator, this role involves performing various personal care services to meet the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Assistance with personal care and hygiene, ensuring the comfort and dignity of our clients
  • Meal preparation, tailored to meet individual dietary needs and preferences
  • Light housekeeping, maintaining a clean and safe living environment
  • Accompanying clients on outings, promoting social interaction and engagement
  • Shopping and errands, providing essential support for daily living
  • Medication assistance and reminders, ensuring timely and accurate administration
  • Ambulation and transporting of clients, prioritizing safety and comfort
  • Providing companionship to clients, fostering emotional well-being and connection
  • Ability to follow care plans, adapting to changing needs and circumstances
  • Documentation and charting, maintaining accurate records of client care
Qualifications
  • Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent, such as foreign-trained nurse or nursing student
  • Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to travel around the Lower Mainland, ensuring flexibility and adaptability
  • Access to internet and mobile phone, facilitating communication and coordination
