Position Overview

As a Tiling Apprentice at JY SHINWOO CONSTRUCTION LTD., you will engage in a variety of tasks related to tile installation and maintenance. This role requires physical stamina and a keen eye for detail.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and mix materials such as mortar, cement, and adhesives using hand tools.
  • Install tiles by placing them accurately and applying pressure to secure them.
  • Utilize hand and power cutting tools to shape tiles around obstacles and openings.
  • Replace any cracked or damaged tiles as necessary.
  • Create decorative designs by laying and setting mosaic tiles.
  • Handle marble and granite by cutting, polishing, and installing them.
  • Prepare and finish terra surfaces to a high standard.
Work Environment
  • This position is physically demanding and involves handling heavy materials.
  • Work will primarily be conducted on various job sites.
  • Employment type is permanent, with working hours ranging from 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • English is the primary language of communication.
Experience

While prior experience in tile setting is an asset, it is not a strict requirement for this role.
