Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

Foilcon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing testing efforts for large systems in Graphical User Interface (GUI) and non-Graphical User Interface (GUI) environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, and test cases to ensure high-quality software products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, project management, and IT, to identify and prioritize testing efforts.
  • Provide expert-level guidance on testing strategies, test planning, and test execution.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure Foilcon's quality assurance processes remain current and effective.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in quality assurance, testing, and software development.
  • Extensive experience with test management tools, such as Azure DevOps and Microfocus ALM 12.5.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software products through effective testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Cloud technology, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Knowledge of licensing and control systems, legacy mainframe systems, and payment gateway services.
  • Experience with mainframe tools, such as TSO/SPF, and Java technologies.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards.
