Position Overview

As a Flooring Specialist at Flower City Contracting Services Inc, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the installation and maintenance of floor coverings. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Candidates should have between 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience in flooring installation.
Work Environment

The work setting involves various locations, providing a dynamic and diverse working atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with flooring materials.
  • Measure, cut, and secure underlay and underpadding as necessary.
  • Install carpeting on floors with precision and care.
  • Prepare and install resilient floor coverings to meet client specifications.
  • Prepare and install hardwood flooring, ensuring high standards of quality.
  • Inspect and repair any damaged floor coverings to maintain aesthetic and functional integrity.
  • Prepare floors adequately for new installations, including the removal of existing materials and contaminants.
