The Millwright/Mechanic is a key member of our maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant utilities, machinery, and processes. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and a commitment to preventative maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on plant utilities, machinery, and processes.
  • Support and work within the procedures of our maintenance management software systems.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to resolve quality, service, operations, facilities, human resources, and health and safety issues.
  • Participate in department team meetings to review and resolve quality, service, operations, facilities, human resources, and health and safety issues.
  • Operational problem solving and seeking out continuous improvements to the process.
  • Assist in the training and development of new members of the department.
  • Measure success by maximizing equipment uptime, minimizing equipment breakdowns, PM effectiveness and reliability, and ensuring that machines are returned to production ready to make parts.
Requirements
  • Secondary School Graduation Diploma with a valid Certificate of Apprenticeship.
  • Must possess a valid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) in good standing with the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of practical experience is preferred.
  • Team player with the ability to work with others in a team-based environment.
