Position Overview

As a vital member of the ground support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of ramp operations. Your role will encompass the following key responsibilities:

  • Uphold the highest standards of safety and security on the ramp, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Safely guide incoming aircraft to their designated gates, ensuring no damage or injury occurs.
  • Efficiently unload baggage and cargo, maintaining a swift and secure process.
  • Ensure that arriving luggage is delivered to the claim area promptly and within established guidelines.
  • Accurately upload outgoing cargo and baggage in accordance with load plan specifications.
  • Safely dispatch aircraft, maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Keep the ramp area clean and organized to promote a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with Operations, Flight Crew, and other ground personnel regarding arrival and departure information.
  • Operate ramp equipment, including bag tugs, belt loaders, and aircraft tow tractors, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Regularly inspect ground equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance at your designated work location.
  • Exceed the customer service and safety expectations set by PrimeFlight.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 19 years.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 32 kg.
  • Ability to carry heavy objects up and down jetway stairs.
  • Physical stamina to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods, including working in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and in environments with jet and machinery noise.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the airline's operational needs.
  • Possession of a valid Canadian driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Commitment to attend all pre-employment training sessions, with successful completion required for continued employment.
