Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Production Accounting Supervisor to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of production accountants, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement of accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and provide guidance to a team of production accountants, promoting teamwork and development.
- Collaborate with other production accounting supervisors to meet departmental objectives.
- Review well, royalty, and facility charges, along with other master data setups within the production accounting system.
- Oversee the review and posting of journal vouchers, ensuring adherence to CSOX and internal control standards.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Lead the testing and implementation of system upgrades and new releases in production accounting systems.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of full-cycle production accounting experience with Alberta or BC oil and gas properties.
- Proven leadership experience managing diverse teams of production accountants.
- Experience with large gas plants and complex, interconnected delivery systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Metrix and Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and other advanced functions.
- Familiarity with ProdView, Pro-Monitor, Pro-Tend, and LandRite is an asset.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a self-starter mentality and team-oriented approach.
- Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accounting (CAPPA) certification is required.
- A degree or diploma in Accounting or Business is an asset.
