Job Title: Parts Cleaner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Parts Cleaner to join our team at StandardAero. As a Parts Cleaner, you will be responsible for operating metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other material from surfaces of metal parts, castings, and other metal products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform in-process cleaning, air drying, and buffing
  • Immerse metal products in chemical cleaning and stripping solutions
  • Prepare and mask surfaces prior to cleaning
  • Prepare parts for non-destructive testing
  • Clean and maintain cleaning tanks and equipment, monitor chemicals through titration checks
  • Participate in continuous improvement of processes
  • Cross-train in other complementary skills to support production requirements
  • Observe all applicable safety requirements
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 75% of the average workday
Desired Characteristics:
  • Thorough knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous materials
  • Thorough knowledge of titrating chemicals
  • Working knowledge of material safety data sheets and the handling of hazardous materials/chemicals
  • Working knowledge of related company instructions, company processes, MSDS labels, and original equipment manufacturer manuals for cleaning and related processes
  • Working knowledge of production management computer systems
