About the Role

As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for examining patients' eyes, conducting tests, and prescribing treatment to conserve, improve, and correct vision and other ocular disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise patients on the use and care of contact lenses
  • Examine patients' eyes and conduct tests to determine visual efficiency
  • Prescribe treatment to correct vision and other ocular disorders
  • Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other physicians and surgeons when necessary
Requirements
  • Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Membership in the Canadian Association of Optometrists (CAO)
