Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage cash transactions.
  • Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand.
  • Establish work schedules and supervise the activities of sales workers.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of sales workers, including training and development.
  • Manage cash and maintain accurate records of sales and inventory.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to sales workers.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a sales or retail environment.
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Support for newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment.
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people.
  • Permanent employment with 30 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
